Anime Origins First Session Checklist
A first-session checklist for claiming rewards, checking unit roles, testing Story, and avoiding expensive trait or summon mistakes.
Before the first summon
Claim the Daily Spin and quests, open the unit index, and read every starter you already own. The https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQVrE_Mdhn0 preview shows these lobby systems before its first Story attempt. Record which unit is cheap enough to open a stage, which can hit air, and which has area damage. If any of those answers is “none,” that role—not a specific rarity—is the first summon target.
Bulma is shown as an income unit, while Akeno is used as a hill unit capable of solving the flyer bottleneck. Treat economy as optional and air coverage as mandatory when the stage contains flying enemies. Keep at least one ground defender even after obtaining a hill unit because target type and placement cost can differ.
During the first 15 waves
Place one dependable opener at a bend and watch what escapes. Add a second role only when the first placement is stable. For each leak, note whether the enemy was ground or air, alone or grouped, and whether the failure happened early or at the boss. Do not spread currency across six weak placements when upgrading two overlapping units would cover the same lane.
Check that a farm pays for itself before the pressure rises. Put poison early enough to tick. Aim cones along the path. Save active abilities for the first wave that would otherwise break the formation.
Before leaving the session
Spend rerolls only after choosing a long-term unit. Pin one evolution recipe instead of collecting materials without a target. Save duplicate-heavy Ascension for later. Finally, take a screenshot or note of the current banner and mode panels because early builds can change; that protects you from following an old drop rate or expired showcase instruction on the next login.
Keep the first summon session deliberately small. The banner shown in previews contains several rarities and a Secret, but a new account should stop as soon as the roster covers the jobs needed for a real test. Lock or favorite useful units before selling extras. Read placement limits and target labels; a powerful unit with a limit of two or ground-only targeting cannot fill every slot by itself.
When choosing upgrades in the stage, favor contact time. Upgrade the unit that already covers the longest section rather than the newest placement at the exit. If a cone is pointed across the lane, rotate or retarget it before buying more damage. If the farm delays the first combat upgrade, skip the farm on the next attempt and compare the wave reached. That comparison tells you whether economy is helping.
After the run, open the evolution screen for only the unit that solved the hardest wave. Pin its recipe if the upgraded ability changes targeting, coverage or boss output. Ordinary levels and a sensible trait are enough for the other units. Avoid auto-reroll until you understand the stop selection, because one preview shows how easily the include/exclude choice can be reversed.
End with a reproducible next objective: “obtain one air-capable unit,” “farm the listed Yuta remnants,” or “move poison to the first corner.” Avoid vague goals such as “get stronger.” A specific objective lets the next session start with action instead of another round of random spending.
One final check is server age. If a public update has just landed, rejoin before judging a code, banner or balance change so the client is not using an older server. Then confirm that the game identity and mode names match the exact Anime Origins universe. This prevents an outdated session or similarly named experience from corrupting the first-session notes.
A first session should finish with a small written roster note. Claim Daily Spin and quest rewards, inspect the unit index, then equip around jobs instead of rarity alone. If Akeno is the only air answer, protect that slot. If Bulma is used for income, verify that the opener survives before placing her. If Toji is the carry, read the restriction before pairing him with support. The checklist is complete only when the next loss has a named cause.
